On August 9th, Renton SDA Church came alive with vibrant colors, joyful music, and the beautiful tapestry of cultures that make up our congregation during our annual International Sabbath celebration.
This cherished tradition honors the rich heritage of our members, and this year was truly extraordinary—49 nationalities were represented, spanning continents and cultures from every corner of the globe. The sanctuary was filled with traditional attire, heartfelt worship, and a spirit of unity that reminded us of the beauty of God’s diverse creation.
Highlights of the Day:
- Worship Service: A multicultural program featuring scripture readings, songs, and prayers in various languages, reflecting the global nature of our faith.
- International Potluck: Following the service, members gathered for a feast that could have fed a small army! Tables overflowed with dishes from Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, and the Americas—each bite a delicious testament to our shared love and hospitality.
- Concert by The Foster Triplets: The day concluded with an uplifting performance by The Foster Triplets, a gospel trio from Jamaica whose harmonies and message of hope brought the house to its feet.
This event is more than a celebration—it’s a reminder that in Christ, we are one family, united across cultures and languages.
