On Sabbath, May 2nd, the Womens’ Ministry team at the Renton Seventh-day Adventist Church hosted a meaningful and uplifting luncheon centered on the theme, “Celebrating Women.” The event brought together women of all ages for a time of connection, encouragement, and spiritual renewal.
The afternoon began with a simple and welcoming potluck meal featuring a variety of fresh salads and breads. The shared meal set the tone for the gathering, creating a relaxed environment where attendees could visit, reconnect, and build new friendships.
Following the luncheon, the focus turned to worship and reflection. Through prayer and heartfelt moments of praise, the program emphasized the importance of recognizing God’s presence in the lives of women and honoring the unique roles they fulfill within their families, church, and community.
A central message of the gathering was a reminder that every woman is valued and created with purpose. The theme, “Celebrating Women,” was not just about recognition, but about affirming identity as Daughters of God. Attendees were encouraged to see themselves through that lens – loved, called, and strengthened by faith.
The event also provided space for genuine fellowship. Conversations continued throughout the afternoon, marked by laughter, shared experiences, and a strong sense of community. These connections are a vital part of church life, helping to support and uplift one another beyond Sabbath gatherings.
